Words from the Chairman

Since I wanted to create a restaurant where everyone can enjoy delicious yakiniku and beer, the store was named “Kanpai” (meaning bottoms up in Japanese).

At Kanpai, we value interpersonal interactions among our customers, chefs, suppliers and employees. As far as I am concerned, they are indispensable partners in life, because Kanpai belongs to everyone!

In light of this, I want to say thank you to all the Kanpai supporters and those who helped to create Kanpai.

Management philosophy

Kanpai Izakaya wants to offer our customers more than just yakiniku and beer, because touching the heart is also essential.

The touching sentiment of enjoying mouthwatering gourmet delicacies and feeling “alive”; the touching sentiment of spending a wonderful time with the people you love and feeling “it’s great to have each other’s company”; the touching sentiment of dining with a bunch of people you don’t know and feeling “the magic of destiny”.

Brand story

After taking over a friend’s store during college, Soji Hiraide strived to get through the tough period of starting a business with numerous classmates and friends. On June 5, 1999, they officially embarked on the gourmet journey with Kanpai.

We also believe that Kanpai is a business jointly operated by us and our customers, because Kanpai’s exceptional popularity is attributed to the support of our customers, suppliers and vivacious employees. Tonight, let’s Kanpai!
